Terms and Conditions of Use
These terms govern the use of Mawlio (mawlio.com and its apps). By using the service, with or without an account, you accept them. If you don't agree, don't use Mawlio.
The service
Mawlio gives you temporary email addresses so you can receive messages without exposing your personal email.
- Each address lasts 1 hour by default.
- Without an account, you can request 2 free 1-hour addresses per device, one time only.
- With a free account, you can request more, extend them with credits, and reply or forward from them.
Free limits may change. Whatever is published on the site at any given time is what applies.
Address expiration and reassignment
When an address expires, it stops receiving emails and its messages are no longer available. It may later be assigned to someone else, who starts with an empty inbox. That's why you should not use Mawlio for accounts you may need to recover, such as banking, work, government services, or shopping: a recovery email could reach someone else. Mawlio is not responsible for loss of access to accounts registered with temporary addresses.
Account
You must provide a real email address and keep your password secure. You're responsible for what's done from your account. You can close it whenever you want by emailing support@mawlio.com.
Credits
Credits are used to extend addresses or request additional addresses.
- They have no monetary value, are non-transferable, and can't be redeemed for cash.
- If an operation fails, we return the credits used.
- Prices and packs are listed on the pricing page.
- You can request a refund for credits you haven't used within 14 days of purchase; credits that have already been used are not refundable. If a payment is charged twice or the credits don't arrive, we'll refund you.
Prohibited uses
You may not use Mawlio to:
- Send spam, phishing, or any unsolicited communication.
- Commit fraud, impersonate others, or deceive third parties.
- Create accounts in bulk, evade blocks or suspensions from other services, or repeat free trials in violation of their terms.
- Harass, threaten, or send illegal content.
- Get around the service's limits, for example by tampering with cookies, identifiers, or device fingerprints, or attack or overload Mawlio.
We may suspend addresses or accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice and without refunding credits.
Availability and liability
Mawlio is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it working well, but we don't guarantee that it will always be available, that every email will arrive, or that every site will accept our addresses. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of data, or loss of access to third-party services arising from the use of Mawlio.
Privacy
The processing of your data is governed by the privacy policy.
Changes
We may update these terms and will publish the new version here with its date. If you keep using Mawlio after a change, you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. Any dispute will be resolved before the courts of Bogotá, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer.
